In this post, I am going to share with you my Ipsy Glam Bag Review for February 2019. Ipsy continues to be one of my favorite monthly beauty subscriptions. Recently, I subscribed to the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus which is an upgraded version of the regular subscription. I love that one too, but this post is going to focus on the regular Ipsy subscription (referral link) and the contents included.

Ipsy Glam Bag Review for February 2019

Unlike the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus, the regular Ipsy subscription includes a cute, on-theme makeup bag every month. In my experience, the bags are great quality and very cute. You can see some other examples of the bags from December 2018 and January 2019.

Here’s what was included in the February 2019 Glam Bag:

F.A.R.A.H Brushes Powder Brush 50F

Price: $14

From the brand:

  • 100% vegan bristles

My thoughts:

I always say this, but I love getting brushes in my subscriptions. However, this one and an add-on eyeshadow weren’t in my bag! I reached out to Ipsy and they said that they would ship it out to me, unlike with Boxy Charm which sends replacements the following month.

The brush works fine but it feels cheap. I use it, but it isn’t my favorite.

Where to buy

Hey Honey Trick & Treat CC Cream in Light to Medium

Full Size Price: $38
Full Size Amount: 30 ml / 1 oz

From the brand:

  • Cruelty-free, but does include honey
  • S.L.S. free
  • Paraben free

My thoughts:

This was way too light for me so I had to take it off. I love BB and CC creams so I was bummed out that I couldn’t use this. Every BB cream that I begin to love ends up getting discontinued or sells out whenever I need a replacement. I really like the Garnier one for acne skin but I can’t ever find it in my color.

Where to buy

SUR.MEDIC+ Sheet Mask Duo: Age Control Multi-Vita & Vital-Collagen

Full Size Price: $35
Full Size Amount: 10 masks

From the brand:

  • Hypoallergenic mask that is supposed to revitalize and nourish skin
  • Formulated without methyl paraben, ethyl paraben, butyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, propyl paraben, sorbic acid, and benzyl alcohol

My thoughts:

I love sheet masks, I feel so pampered when I use them so I really enjoy getting them in my susbcriptions. There are only a few of other masks that I feel or see a difference in my skin after using. These weren’t one of those, but I still did enjoy them.

Where to buy

Inara Cosmobeauty Nail Polish in Pulse

Price: Not available

From the brand:

  • 15-free formula
  • No toluene, DBP, formaldehyde, camphor, formaldehyde resin, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, GMOs, petrochemicals, triclosan, triphenyl phosphate, ethyl tosylamide, xylene, or SLS
  • Vegan and cruelty-free
  • Created justs for Ipsy

Where to buy

Elemis Superfood Facial Wash

Full Size Price: $25
Full Size Amount: 150 ml

From the brand:

  • Gel cleanser to nourish and revitalize skin
  • Pre-biotic formula
  • For all skin types
  • Vegan-friendly

My thoughts:

This made my skin tingle a little so I only used it twice before I decided to give it up. I’ve been wanting to try products from Elemis, so it kinda sucked that this one didn’t work out. However, I still want to explore more from this brand.

Where to buy

Ipsy Glam Bag Add-Ons

Hanalei Lip Treatment in Peach Pink

Full Size Price: $20
Full Size Amount: 15 g

From the brand:

  • PETA cruelty-free
  • Made with pure kukui nut oil (avoid if you have a nut allergy)
  • Paraben-free
  • Partner with the AKAMAI foundation, which helps equips native Hawaiians and other minorites with training, mentoring and networking for the job market

My thoughts:

I love this lip treatment so freakin much that I’ll buy a replacement when I’m done with it. It is a thick moisturizing lip treatment with color. I was using this religiously when my lips were chapped and dry and this helped clear it up in just a day or two.

This is great to wear as a treatment or as your lip color for the day.

I highly recommend this lip treatment, but it does include lanolin and beeswax so this is not a vegan product. However, it is certified PETA cruelty-free.

Where to buy

Belle En Argent Lipstick in I’ll Bring Dessert

Full Size Price: $26
Full Size Amount: 0.14 oz / 4.2 g

From the brand:

  • Cruelty-free and vegan

  • Infused with natural oils such as argan and jojoba
  • Contributes a portion of sales to the BEAMuse project which is a grant program that helps support women who write, photograph, film, act, direct, and produce

My thoughts:

I am so happy with this lipstick. It is exactly what I want and need: something that has a satin finish and can be worn with many different makeup looks. I can wear it dressed up or down and love it either way.

Where to buy

Meech and Mia Pressed Eye Shadow in Taupe

This item was missing from my bag. I emailed ipsy and they said they were out of stock and will not be sending it to me.

Is The Ipsy Subscription Worth It?
